Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced into bite-sized pieces

Salt and pepper, to taste

3 cups fresh broccoli florets

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta and Broccoli: In a spacious pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente. In the final 2 minutes of cooking, add the fresh broccoli florets to the pot. Once done, drain the pasta and broccoli together and set them aside.

Prepare the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper to enhance their flavor. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken to the skillet. Cook the chicken for approximately 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pieces are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Craft the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well to incorporate. Gradually add in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese while stirring continuously, allowing it to melt and form a smooth, creamy sauce.

Combine All Components: Return the cooked chicken and drained pasta, along with the broccoli, back to the skillet. Sprinkle in the garlic powder and Italian seasoning, combining everything thoroughly. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary.

Serve and Garnish: Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the dish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately and savor the creamy comfort of this delicious dish!
