Ingredients

For the Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast

1 tsp granulated sugar

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup warm water (approximately 110°F)

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

For the Alfredo Sauce:

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Toppings:

1 cup cooked chicken, diced (grilled or rotisserie)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves

1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

      - Gradually incorporate the warm water and olive oil into the dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a shaggy dough forms.

        - Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it for about 5-7 minutes, or until the texture is smooth and elastic.

          - Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel and set it in a warm, draft-free location for about 1 hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.

            Make the Alfredo Sauce:

              - In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.

                - Lower the heat to medium-low and carefully stir in the heavy cream. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

                  - Gradually incorporate the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, whisking continuously until the sauce is smooth and velvety. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your taste. Remove from heat and set aside.

                    Preheat the Oven:

                      - Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it inside the oven to heat as well, which will help achieve a crispy crust.

                        Assemble the Pizza:

                          - Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release any air bubbles. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it out to a 12-inch round pizza shape.

                            - Carefully lift the rolled-out dough onto a piece of parchment paper for easy transferring to the oven.

                              - Spread a generous layer of the prepared Alfredo sauce over the surface of the dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border around the edges.

                                - Evenly distribute the diced cooked chicken over the sauce, followed by the fresh spinach leaves, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and the shredded mozzarella cheese. If desired, sprinkle the dried oregano over the top for an extra hint of flavor.

                                  Bake the Pizza:

                                    - Using a pizza peel or the backside of a baking sheet, carefully slide the parchment paper with the assembled pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.

                                      - Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.

                                        Serve:

                                          - Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.

                                            - For an elegant touch, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving, adding a pop of color and freshness to your dish.
