Ingredients

2 (9-ounce) packages of frozen cheese ravioli

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

24 ounces marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (such as oregano, basil, and thyme)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven heats up, lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil.

Cook the Ravioli: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Carefully add the frozen cheese ravioli and cook according to the package instructions, typically for about 4-5 minutes. Once cooked, drain the ravioli and set aside.

Prepare the Spinach Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, and half of the grated Parmesan. Add the garlic powder, dried Italian herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Stir everything together until well combined and set aside.

Assemble the Bake: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Layer half of the cooked ravioli over the sauce, then follow with half of the spinach mixture spread evenly on top. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ravioli and spinach mixture. Finish by covering the top layer with a generous portion of marinara sauce.

Top it Off: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the topping layer of marinara sauce.

Bake the Dish: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is bubbly and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, carefully remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes. For a vibrant touch, garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Serve warm and savor every bite of your delicious Cheesy Spinach & Cheese Ravioli Bake!
