1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

4 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

Zest and juice of 1 large lemon

Prepare the Asparagus: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the trimmed asparagus pieces. Sauté for approximately 3-4 minutes until the asparagus is bright green and tender-crisp. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to enhance the flavor. Remove the asparagus from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
