1 cup fresh mint leaves, loosely packed

1 cup fresh lime juice (approximately 8-10 limes)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)

4 cups cold water

3 cups ice cubes

Instructions
 

Prepare the Mint Syrup:

    - In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and granulated sugar. Place over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved.

      - Once the sugar is dissolved, incorporate the fresh mint leaves into the saucepan. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for about 30 minutes, allowing the mint to infuse its flavor into the syrup.

        Strain the Mint Syrup:

          - After steeping, carefully strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher to remove the mint leaves. This mint syrup can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.

            Mix the Slush:

              - In a large blender, combine the fresh lime juice, the strained mint syrup, and 3 cups of cold water. Blend the mixture until everything is well combined.

                - Add the ice cubes to the blender and blend again until the mixture reaches a thick, slushy consistency. If you prefer a thinner texture, slowly add more cold water; for a thicker slush, add more ice.

                  Serve:
